Inter Milan and Italy star Nicolo Barella is reportedly set for a move away from the club this summer. The 26-year old had an impressive season with Inter, who had a memorable season. Barella was an imminent part in Inter’s success last season. They won the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana, finishing third in the Serie A and reached the finals of the last season’s Champions League. His incredible display has led him to be a top target for several big clubs across Europe.

Which clubs are chasing Barella?

It was reported that Premier League clubs Liverpool FC and Newcastle United are the front-runners for signing the talented Italian this summer. As for the Magpies, the recent signing of Sandro Tonali might be enough to provide the strength that Eddie Howe is looking for. Even though a creative and a direct midfielder like Barella can do wonders at Newcastle, it simply doesn’t look like he could fit in Newcastle’s mid now. Also as per reports, Newcastle are now focusing on bringing an attacker to strengthen their attack. A ‘star’ winger, primarily on the left hand side is what the Magpies are in search of. Some of the best wingers have been linked to them for a move. Therefore, it looks unlikely that Newcastle would be going for another star midfield signing this summer after Tonali.
